About EVE
Who is that Eve?
3-in-1!
Hello, I am Eveline Brouwers (1983) and I work in Amsterdam as a certified coach, psychologist and expert by experience for (young) adults, specialised in autism. I was introduced to autism at an early age by my father who was on the spectrum. I studied Mental Health Science (MSc) (with a master's thesis on autism) including work experience as a basic psychologist in a mental health institution for children and adults with autism, AD(H)D, depression, anxiety disorders and personality disorders.
Over the years, I have continued to develop in practice in various therapies and training such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment therapy and mindfulness training. In addition, I have followed various coaching courses and read up on the methodologies of, among others: 'The essential 5' by Colette de Bruin and 'More tranquility and less stress for autism' by Marja Boxhoorn.
Moreover, I am also an art historian and have worked in the international art trade. In my art coaching I can combine my two passions and knowledge of mental health and art.
I would like to empower people by focusing on the positive aspects: by also exploring someone's authenticity and core values. For people with autism, I want them to have a positive attitude towards their diagnosis; that they see autism as a strength, as a beautiful form of (neuro)diversity and enrichment of society instead of seeing it as an abnormality or weakness.
